House 3, Week 33

Home buyers can be so vexing.

While I never harbored any illusions about the front yard, I was a bit miffed when our realtor told us that we needed to up the "curb appeal" in order to generate traffic.

Thus the front went from this...

To this...

I have serious concerns about the average human mind if people will suddenly decide to look at a house just because four little rhododendrons are now gracing the front flower beds.

  1. I guess they must feel it is ONE LESS thing they will have to do when they start moving in.

  2. Another stellar job! The whole house sure looks bigger and brighter, inside and out, after all Mister's [and minions] hard work. Suspect Frankie is right; new owners want just a touch of landscaping so they don't feel like they immediately have to get out into the yard and start working. But it's supposed to be a seller's market out there now, so hope that's true in your neck of the woods and you get lots of hefty offers.

You're building another garage on the Dexter estate? Or remodeling the one you have so there's more storage space for yard toys? Atta boy, Master.

  4. Another sad commentary on our culture -

Just like all the concerns and worries about how one dresses for a job interview -

    REALLY?

Like the shoes matter and indicate working brain AND common sense?

  5. Maybe a planter/trellis in that recessed area where the meters are - between the two doors? Where's Wyatt's mom??

  6. Howdy Master, hey we could've come and helped with the gardening. We are expert diggers and flower arrangers. We could have made it look quite homely hehehe. Good luck with the sale. Mum is green with jelly at your skills. Hope the Momma gives you some treats before the next job. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
